Ramoji Film City is conveniently located on the outskirts of the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. It is one of the most comprehensive and professionally planned film production centres in the world.

Mumbai is the hub of Indian film industry. Mumbai has played a pivoted role in the development of cinematography. The first feature film Raja Harishchandra was produced in the city by Dadasaheb Phalke, the father of Indian Cinema.

A.V.Meiyappan started his own studios at Karaikudi in 1946. The film "Naam Iruvar" produced here ran for Silver Jubilee. The other films produced here were "Vedala Ulagam" and "Ram Rajya".
